Ignova Impera V2 Cast-Iron Fireplace Stove with Oven

Brand: Ignova Stove

/ Standard

Impera V2 is Ignova Stove's cast-iron fireplace stove with a top oven. Below is a firebox showing the flame through the front and both side faces; above sits a baking oven with a dial thermometer. The body is made of EN-GJL-200 grade heavy cast iron and weighs 140 kg; that mass keeps holding heat for a while after the fire burns down. Who it is for: village houses, mountain houses and large living rooms that heat with wood and also want an oven; anyone who prefers the longevity and classic look of a cast-iron stove. Technical values (manufacturer list): 14 kW output, 70–140 m² effective heating area, Ø130 mm standard top flue outlet, three-sided ceramic glass rated to 800 °C, Airwash glass-cleaning air curtain, secondary combustion, a sliding ash drawer and wooden handles that stay cool. The manufacturer gives a 2-year warranty on the cast body. Images show wood being burned. Installation: connects from the top to a Ø130 mm chimney with suitable draught; no electricity needed. For the 140 kg unit, floor strength and the carrying route should be planned ahead, and freight/haulage delivery discussed if necessary. Installation by a fitter with chimney knowledge is recommended.

What to look for when choosing a stove

Fuel type

Cast-iron stoves that burn wood and coal are fed by hand; pellet stoves feed themselves from a hopper. Choose a model that burns the fuel you can easily get locally.

Room size and insulation

How much space a stove can heat depends on the insulation, ceiling height and number of windows. Send us the size of the room and its insulation before you buy.

Flue connection

A stove must be connected to a sound flue that draws well. Pipe diameter, the number of bends and a clean chimney directly affect both efficiency and safety.

Cooking

If you also want to cook and bake on the stove, choose a cooker (kuzine) model with an oven; for heating only, a classic cast-iron stove is enough.

Use and upkeep

Hand-fed stoves need the ash emptied regularly; pellet stoves need a power supply and a filled hopper. Pick the one that suits your daily routine.

Safe use

Have the chimney swept before every heating season.
Fit a carbon monoxide detector in any home with a stove or fireplace.
Keep flammable items away from the stove and keep children away from hot surfaces.
Never burn plastic, painted wood or rubbish; use only the fuel suited to the appliance.
