Saphire 10 kW Manual Pellet & Wood Horizontal Cooker Stove with Oven

Brand: Petra Şömine

/ Standard

Saphire is Baba's Stove's horizontal cooker stove: a glass-doored firebox on the left, a thermometer-fitted oven on the right, and a wide cooking plate on top. Think of it as the pellet-burning version of the classic village range. Who it is for: village, mountain and highland houses that want a permanent range in the kitchen; anyone who wants to simmer a pot and bake bread at the same time. Manufacturer sheet: 5–10 kW output, 1.2–2.3 kg/h fuel consumption, 22 L / 15 kg fuel tank, 80.75% efficiency at maximum output, A+ energy class, 130 mm flue. Oven interior 36.5 × 36.5 × 30 cm; rectangular tray 36 × 34 cm, round tray Ø34 cm. Body 91.5 × 63 × 79 cm, weight 110 kg (135 kg packed). Single glass, no fan, manual. Installation: because of its weight, placement and any stair carrying should be planned ahead; the manufacturer specifies a 120 × 85 cm minimum floor plate. A 130 mm chimney drawing at least 10 Pa is essential; no electricity is needed. The flue outlet is at the top rear. Fuel: pellets, wood and also briquettes. The firebox is 35 × 33 × 37 cm, so short-cut logs should be used.

What to look for when choosing a stove

Fuel type

Cast-iron stoves that burn wood and coal are fed by hand; pellet stoves feed themselves from a hopper. Choose a model that burns the fuel you can easily get locally.

Room size and insulation

How much space a stove can heat depends on the insulation, ceiling height and number of windows. Send us the size of the room and its insulation before you buy.

Flue connection

A stove must be connected to a sound flue that draws well. Pipe diameter, the number of bends and a clean chimney directly affect both efficiency and safety.

Cooking

If you also want to cook and bake on the stove, choose a cooker (kuzine) model with an oven; for heating only, a classic cast-iron stove is enough.

Use and upkeep

Hand-fed stoves need the ash emptied regularly; pellet stoves need a power supply and a filled hopper. Pick the one that suits your daily routine.

Safe use

Have the chimney swept before every heating season.
Fit a carbon monoxide detector in any home with a stove or fireplace.
Keep flammable items away from the stove and keep children away from hot surfaces.
Never burn plastic, painted wood or rubbish; use only the fuel suited to the appliance.
